I set out to create a series of commemorative Amazon DVD’s specifically to support colleges and educational institutions for their permanent library collections. The series I created and designed was about four of the most important women typographers. Since the target audience is college students, I wanted to make something that felt true to the designers, fun for students, and underlined what these women had in common. I titled this series "Makers & Shakers". The idea behind the hand-drawn frames that take center stage on the DVD covers is that these women are a vital part of art history. However, with vibrant colors and accessible illustration style shows how these designers add an abundance of life, spunk, and innovation to the halls of history.
